ENTRY FEES

There are two entry formats for The Redback for 2017:

Six-Stage Rider
- An entrant racing all 6 stages over the 4 days

Single-Stage Rider
- Riders who enter less than 6 stages over the 4 days - allowing you to pick the races you want to do!

Online entries close 12:00pm Tuesday 15 August 2017

SIX-STAGE RIDER

If you enter all 6 stages of The Redback the entry fees are as follows:

ADULTS

  • Base Entry Fee: $427 if you enter before 8:00 AEST Monday 10 July 2017
  • Late Entry Fee: $487 if you enter between 8:00 AEST Monday 10 July and 12:00pm Tuesday 15 August 2017

JUNIOR

  • Base Entry Fee: $342 if you enter before 8:00 AEST Monday 10 July 2017
  • Late Entry Fee: $393 if you enter between 8:00 AEST Monday 10 July and 12:00pm Tuesday 15 August 2017

SIX-STAGE RIDER ENTRY FEE INCLUSIONS

  • Entry to race week (6 stages over 4 days)
  • Inflatable air couch with event branding
  • Access to well-stocked water points during each stage of the race that include fruit cake, lollies, cookies, water and sports drink
  • Free usage of the facilities (including the pool!) at the event hotel - Chifley Alice Springs
  • Lasseters Drink Voucher
  • Fully marked, marshalled course with professional traffic management
  • Professional medical support on course
  • Professional electronic timing and results, with optional SMS results
  • Optional Personal Accident Insurance policy

GROUP ENTRIES

The Redback is the ideal event to attend with a bunch of mates or MTB Club members. We welcome all groups with open arms and provide DISCOUNTED ENTRY for groups over certain sizes. If you bring along 5 or more entrants we are happy to arrange an individual discount for you - cash back at registration.

LOCALS DISCOUNT

To support the locals who help build and maintain the Alice Springs trails we are very happy to provide a discount. To qualify for the Alice Springs locals discount you must:

  • Be a permanent resident of Alice Springs
  • Enter as a Six-Stage Rider by Wednesday 2nd August

How do I arrange this?

  • Enter online normally and pay the full entry fee
  • Tick the box indicating you are a member of your local club.

We will arrange $50 cash back when you register and provide proof of club membership.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Airport transfers are provided by the Alice Wanderer and are available for $15 per person per transfer.

TO BOOK: Airport transfer bookings are best made through the online entry system when you enter the event. Please ensure you complete all relevant flight details in the system; if you do not complete ALL the details, you transfer booking will not be confirmed.

REFUND POLICY

If a competitor voluntarily withdraws from the event prior to 8:00am AEST Thursday 27 July, 2017 they have the option of:

  • Refund less a 25% administration fee (Minimum $10, Maximum $100)
  • Rapid Ascent credit for another event entry less a 20% administration fee

If a competitor voluntarily withdraws from the event after 8:00am AEST Thursday 27 July, 2017:

  • No refund or credit will be issued. This will be strictly enforced as costs for your entry have already being incurred. 

OTHER

  • Payment for online entries is via Credit Card transaction via our secure, 128-bit encrypted credit card payment gateway. Should you require alternative payment options please contact Rapid Ascent
  • Juniors must be under the age of 18 on race day
  • An entrant may transfer their entry to another rider for a $15 transfer fee up 12:00pm Tuesday 15 August (but the earlier the better). No transfers will be accepted after this time.
  • If the event is deemed unsafe or unable to be held on the proposed date due to extreme climatic conditions, the following steps shall be followed:
  • Rapid Ascent will not reschedule the event.
  • Rapid Ascent will refund your entry fee

Note:

  • In all other circumstances it should be assumed that the event is still going ahead UNLESS otherwise stated.
  • Rapid Ascent reserves the right to alter or amend the originally proposed course(s) from that which was published on the event website for any reason.
  • Advice of any event cancellation or change will be made on the front page of the event website as early as possible before the event, and will be posted to the official race notice board at the registration marquee.
