Race Pack Collection

All entrants must collect your race pack before your event starts (we will not be posting them out). We encourage you to collect your race packs from our Market Square collection centre on Friday 16th or Saturday 17th November before the event.

Collection Centre: Gallery 52 on Level One (next to Lincraft) in the Market Square shopping centre, corner of Malop St and Moorabool St, Geelong

  • 11:00am – 6:00pm Friday 16th November
  • 9:00am – 2:00pm Saturday 17th November

Race packs can also be collected on race morning from the registration marquee on Steampacket Gardens from 6:00am onwards.

All prices include GST but exclude a $2.50 booking fee (charged per transaction).

Family Entries

Family entries are available for members of the same immediate family (eg. 2 parents and 1 or more children) as follows:

  • The Family entry fee is the total of the 2 adults entering and then $10 per child.
  • A Family may enter the same or a variety of events, eg. one parent can do the 10km run, one child do the 5km run, and all other family members walk in the 5km event.
  • There is no minimum or maximum number of children on a family entry – but they must all be from the same immediate family

Kids U16 / Students/ Concession entries

Are available to:

  • Kids aged between 2 years and 16 years
  • Students studying full time – proof of study to be provided during race pack collection
  • Pensioners, seniors, health care card holders.


Toddler under 2 years of age are free to enter and still receive a t-shirt and number plate. You can enter a toddler to your Family Ticket free of charge.


What do I get for my entry fee? (10km, 5km events and 1km kids run only):

  • Entry to the race
  • Free custom event t-shirt (pictured below)
    • available in mens, women's and kids sizing
  • Unique number plate
  • Sponsors goodies (exact details tbc)
  • Free entertainment and activities at the start / finish line
  • Access to water points on the course and finish line, aerobics warm up class and other activities
  • Fully marked, marshalled course with professional medical support on course
  • Professional electronic timing and results (run events only)
  • Event photographer along the course to capture your finest moments
  • The opportunity to win a random prize at the presentations after the race
  • + other sponsor freebies and giveaways to be confirmed

Virtual Runners

A virtual runner enables you ‘participate’ in the event even if you cannot actually attend. Virtual runners will receive:

  • a number plate posted to you before the event
  • your name on the website as a virtual runner

Group and School Entries

We encourage businesses, schools, clubs and groups to get a group together and register for the event! Groups of less than 20 should enter themselves via the online entry system. Groups of 20 or more, or where a single person or business is paying for a group of entries, can contact us to allow easier processing of your entries.

School students should select the school they are from in the drop down list of schools in the online entry system.

Group entries will close at 17:00 AEDT, Sunday 4th November 2018.

Barwon Health Foundation

Run for Geelong’s Kids is proudly supporting the Barwon Health Foundation’s Kids Appeal with donations and event proceeds going towards the construction of a new rehabilitation centre.

Categories and prizes

Age Categories

The following age categories for will be recognized as part of the 10km and 5km runs:

  • Under 16 years male and female
  • Under 18 years male and female
  • 18 – 29 years male and female
  • 30 - 39 years male and female
  • 40 - 49 years male and female
  • 50 - 59 years male and female
  • 60+ years male and female

Age categories will be determined by your age on the day of the race, Sunday 18th November 2018.

The 5km TAC Family Walk is not a competitive event, so no age group prizes will be awarded.  But don't let this stop you from joining us for a great event


Prizes & Awards

Medals will be awarded to the top three males and females in each if the categories listed above.

Spot prizes

Get excited... there will be plenty of spot prizes awarded on the day! These will be announced during the presentations, which will take place at the finish area from 10:30am.

Fancy dressed

Dress up and run, walk, crawl or stroll as a participant in Run for Geelong’s Kids for your chance to win some great prizes in our fancy dress competition – exact prize to be announced.

School groups

We encourage all school kids to come and participate in the Run for Geelong’s Kids events and we will award a GREAT PRIZE to the school with the most school students participating on the day. School students should select the school they are from in the drop-down list of schools in the online entry system.
