Welcome to the Mainpeak Multisport

What: Mainpeak Multisport, 133km multisport endurance event
Where:  From the historic township of Toodyay in the picturesque wheat belt to the popular Houghtons Winery in the Swan Valley
When: NO RACE IN 2013
Who: Individuals and teams
Why: For the challenge and reward of completing a memorable journey through beautiful scenery under your own puff and steam in a friendly, competitive environment

It is with regret that Rapid Ascent advises that we will not be conducting the Mainpeak Multisport in 2013. We have greatly enjoyed this event in the past and thank those who supported it in 2011 and 2012 but due to low participant numbers and other event constraints we will not be going ahead with the event in 2013.

Welcome to the Mainpeak Multisport, a race that’s set to become an iconic multidiscipline endurance event journeying through Perth’s Avon Valley and Swan Valley hinterlands in Western Australia.

The Mainpeak Multisport matches adventure with speed, and challenge with beauty, linking the pursuits of trail running, road cycling and paddling together into one epic 133km journey through stunning environments finishing at the renowned Houghtons Winery in the Swan Valley.

Starting in the historic main street of Toodyay, teams and individual competitors will tackle:

  • 7.5km Merrell Trail Run
  • 63km Julimar Road Ride
  • 22km Meadowbrook Road Ride
  • 19km Icebreaker Trail Run
  • 6km Bells White Water Paddle
  • 16km Swan Valley Vineyard River Paddle
  • 700m Houghtons Team Run

The course is open to all levels of athletic ability and may be completed as an individual doing all legs or as a relay team of between 3 and 6 people.

Check out the video from the 2011 event to see what the Mainpeak is all about!

There’s nothing like having a competitive fitness goal to give impetus to your training year and the Mainpeak Multisport will, we reckon, rank as the highlight of your racing calendar. So sign up, get training and get the most out of life.
