Jay Vine King of the Otway Odyssey 2019

How many times have you done the Odyssey/GOGG Jay?

3 times - 2014, 2015 and 2018. And soon to be 2019.

What’s your most memorable moment?

The final 20km of single track after the timed descent in 2018. Tacky and Flowy Single track, really pushes you to ride hard even though your 80 km in.

What do you love about the Odyssey the most?

The location/ environment and the 2 day big KM weekend racing.

What are your top training tips for the Odyssey?

Putting together Back to back 2+hr riding days 4 days in a row at a above endurance pace will help the time poor full time worker get through the weekend better than 1 or 2 big 6 hr days at endurance on the weekend.

What are your favourite locations to ride?

Stromlo and the Brindabella ranges to west of Canberra.

Thanks for your time Jay and good luck on the 23rd in Forrest! If you haven't registered for the Odyssey then head to the website and enter online ONLINE ENTRIES close Thursday 21 February 2019.
