Warrior Course Description and Maps

Standalone races

Each of the standalone races that make up the course for the Adventure Warrior at Augusta provides a spectacular challenge through a breathtaking mix of hinterland wilderness, sandy coastlines and protected waterways in south west Western Australia.

Each race has been designed to take in the best of the best of the Augusta area, and provides a challenge equally for elite competitors who want to go hammer and tong all the way, through to adventure and multisport athletes ready to test themselves!

Competitors in the Adventure Warrior race compete in each of the 4 new standalone races held on Saturday (as an individual or realy team, with the fastest cumulative time to be crowned champion male, female and team! This is NOT a non-stop adventure race... the faster you go, the more recovery between each race you’ll get!

RACE START LOCATIONS

Shire of Augusta Margaret River Ocean Swim 2km:

  • Start: Flinders Bay
  • Finish: Deere St on Albany Tce 

Ocean Paddle 15km:

  • Start: River mouth (Hardy Inlet) off Albany Tce
  • Finish: Colourpatch, and in to Turner Caravan Park

Coastal Run 15km:

  • Start: Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Augusta.
  • Finish: Turner Caravan Park, Augusta (the event venue) 

Mountain Bike Race 35km:

  • Start: Albany Terrace, adjacent to the venue at Turner Caravan Park
  • Finish: Turner Caravan Park

 

Further information will be posted here about set up and logistics other than to say that all races (except the swim) finish in the Turner Caravan Park AND each race is scheduled so that most people can complete it and have a short rest before starting the next race.
