The three new chalets at Turner Caravan Park have been a resounding success since opening in December 2017, with nearly 1500 people staying in the beautifully-appointed accommodation so far.
Each consisting of two bedrooms, the air-conditioned chalets provide for the perfect all-seasons getaway to and are a convenient, central accommodation option for participants of the Augusta Adventure Fest.
Appointed to suit families or groups of up to five, the chalets offer an open plan kitchen/lounges, fully equipped kitchens and private outdoor BBQ areas with views to the Blackwood River.
The park itself is an ideal location for fishing, boating, swimming and enjoying the picturesque surrounds of the river mouth.
You can often see visiting dolphins cruising the river in front of the park and there are often large stingrays and pelicans that are happy to share your catch of the day at the filleting tables.
It is within easy walking distance from the Augusta Town Centre and a ten-minute walk along the river and through the dunes in the opposite direction will take you out to the beautiful Southern Ocean and its unspoiled beaches.
The area is an easy access paradise for wind and kite surfers along the river mouth and for board surfers when the ocean swell is up.
Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park forms the backdrop of the Park and wonderful bush tracks can be started right from the park office.
Turner Caravan Park was awarded Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence trip advisor 2015 and 2016.
